The Original Prusa CW1S is a multifunctional curing and washing machine designed to facilitate and speed up the post-processing stage of resin 3D printing. The device is compatible with the Original Prusa SL1S MSLA 3D printer, but it can be used with any desktop SLA machine as well. Apart from post-processing, the CW1S is capable of preheating resin before printing for optimal printing performance and final part properties.

To wash the printed models, the CW1S uses a stainless steel tank filled with isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and a magnetic propeller which creates a whirlpool to thoroughly wash the model. The build platform with the model conveniently attaches to the tank lid. For small parts, you can use a metal basket that comes with the machine. The use of a magnetic propeller ensures delicate yet efficient cleaning of the printed models.

The next step after washing is drying the model with hot air, which is needed to avoid resin residue stains. The parts can then be cured with UV light to acquire final mechanical and chemical properties and a smooth surface finish. With the CW1S, the entire post-processing stage takes only about 10?15 minutes. Besides, it makes the process much cleaner and way more convenient for the user. The CW1S has intuitive controls with an LCD screen and an operation knob, typical of Prusa devices.
